Custom Crafting provides a completely new experience while maintaining the original and classic feel of survival Minecraft.

Custom Crafting begins with Custom Drops. Custom Drops are Mantodea-exclusive items that have a chance of dropping from performing various tasks that are crucial for any player's progression on Mantodea. Custom Drops can be placed into a normal crafting table to create new and fascinating pieces of equipment, all of which can be seen down below.

Curious as to which gear you should go for? Try to match your equipment with your profession.

Beetle Glue, used by all ancient factions of insects to construct their unique tools, is the strongest binding material on Mantodea. Required to craft all of our custom tools, it is paramount to your success to locate the pieces of, and craft, the legendary Beetle Glue.

Each tool that can be crafted requires Beetle Glue to craft it successfully. See how to craft and obtain Beetle Glue below.

CRAFTING BEETLE GLUE

CRAFTING THE IRONCLAD STONEBREAKER

IRONCLAD STONEBREAKER

To begin, organize EIGHT pieces of paper around sugar to create a SINGULAR Adhesive Paper. Before you move on, you will need EIGHT Adhesive Papers.

Next, take your newly created Adhesive Papers and surround a Boiling Mass to construct Refined Adhesive. Like Adhesive Paper, you will need EIGHT to continue.

After crafting EIGHT Refined Adhesive, you can now convert the adhesive into Raw Beetle Glue by surrounding a piece of Beetle Glue (received from Crates).

With a Raw Beetle Glue in hand, you can now bottle the glue with SEVEN pieces of glass. After bottling it, you now have one Beetle Glue! Nice Job!

First, you will need to gather EIGHT Ironclad Shards and ONE Beetle Glue to make an Ironclad Plate. Plates are crucial in this crafting process.

The Ironclad Stonebreaker, a pickaxe only heard of in legend, is the tool said to have been used by Stoneborers for thousands of years before the humans destroyed the land. Now bits and pieces can be found in the stone beneath your feet. Find it and repair it.

Then, you can choose to craft either the Head or the Handle of the Ironclad Stonebreaker. To craft the Handle,  orient SIX Ironclad Plates around Glue as shown.

DROP(s) YOU WILL NEED

With both the Head and Handle of the pickaxe, you now need ONE last Beetle Glue. Combining the Handle and the Head of the pickaxe, you now wield the Ironclad Stonebreaker.

Ironclad Shards are found within stones and ores of Mantodea. They drop at a rate of 0.01%, making it a sought after and rare find for all Stoneborers alike.

To craft the Head of the pickaxe, reorient SIX Ironclad Plates around Beetle Glue as shown to the left. If following, you should now have the Handle AND Head of the pickaxe.

Creating the Head and the Handle now enables you to craft the Broadaxe. With it in hand, you are now ready to bring back the ancient order of Woodborers.

Carpenter Skin can be found within normal and stripped logs at a rate of only 0.02%. Don't forget to repair your axe, it will be a long a long journey young woodborer.

CRAFTING THE MARAUDA RAKE

MARAUDA RAKE

During your various harvests, you will eventually stockpile EIGHT Marauda Scraps, enabling the creation of your first Marauda Cluster by surrounding Beetle Glue.

Wielded by an ancient group known as the Marauders, the band of farmland destroying insects created the best harvesting object on the server and dubbed it the title "Marauda Rake". With it's pieces hidden away for centuries, it is now your job to find them once again.

Then, to create the Handle. surround Beetle Glue with SIX carefully placed Marauda Clusters. With your handle, you are nearing completion.

DROP(s) YOU WILL NEED

While fishing, you first need to fish up EIGHT Naiad Shells to begin the construction of your first Naiad Strip. You will need these strips to strengthen the Pole.

Dragonfly naiads are voracious predators that utilize their agility and power to render their prey dazed in the split second of attack. Only few have been gifted the knowledge of the naiad but the technique had been transformed into a tool. Can you find it?

NAIAD POLE

CRAFTING THE NAIAD POLE

With all pieces of the tool now created, combine the Head and the Handle of the Marauda Rake and become the agricultural marvel that Mantodea has long awaited.

Marauda Scraps drop from all crops and farmable goods at a rate of 0.02%. From seeds you can get more seeds at some point... right?

Now, with SIX more Marauda Clusters, you can now make the Head of the Rake by gluing together the ancient scythe pattern hidden away for centuries.

After finding EIGHT Colonizer Pieces, you can then mend them together using Beetle Glue to create a Colonizer Chunk; the first step in creating the Dredge.

Utilized by the queen of the first ant colony on the server, the Colonizer's Dredge is a remarkable tool. Making burrowers search extensively for the parts required to forge the tool, only those of direct blood of the original ant queen are found to be worthy. Are you?

COLONIZER'S DREDGE

CRAFTING THE COLONIZER'S DREDGE

Next, after making SIX Colonizer Chunks, you can now create the Handle. Orient the Chunks around Beetle Glue to make your first piece of the tool.

DROP(s) YOU WILL NEED

Then you can create the Head of the Dredge. Utilizing SIX more Colonizer Chunks, surround Beetle Glue and collect the Head you just created.

Lastly, stick the Head and Handle of the Dredge together with ONE last Beetle Glue in order to wield the once thought abandoned tool; the Colonizer's Dredge.

Found hidden within soils and sands, Colonizer Pieces drop at a rate of 0.01%. Using a good shovel is highly recommended. Like looking for gold in a dirt stack!

Now, after making SIX Carpenter Bunches you can now make the Handle of the Broadaxe. Place the Bunches around Beetle Glue to create your Handle.

CRAFTING THE CARPENTER'S BROADAXE

With the Handle made, you can then craft the Head of the Broadaxe by joining SIX Bunches together with Beetle Glue. You are one step closer!

DROP(s) YOU WILL NEED

After chopping through forests, you will be able to craft your first Carpenter Bunch. Surround Beetle Glue with EIGHT Carpenter Skin to make your first Bunch.

The Carpenter's Broadaxe is an exquisite axe used by the best woodborers on the server. Lost to time, the most elite and talented woodborers hid bits and pieces of the legendary tool in the bark of trees until the time came for woodborers to rule the server again!

CARPENTER'S BROADAXE

Once both Boots are created, simply place them side by side in the crafting table! You now have the Sizzling Sabatons and can stride across Lava!

Sizzling Embers are obtained by killing Nether mobs and have a drop chance of 0.1%. As if getting Wither Skulls wasn't hard enough, now this!!?

Unlike the other recipes, you will simply need to make two Boots in order to have both feet covered. So, you will need a total of TWELVE Sizzling Mesh.

DROP(s) YOU WILL NEED

Naiad Shells can be obtained through fishing at a rate of 0.1%. Might be better than catching an old boot, aye?

During Nether exploration, you will first need to kill enough mobs to obtain EIGHT Sizzling Embers to place around Beetle Glue; making a Sizzling Mesh.

Forged in the fires of the Nether, the ancient society of firebrats constructed the perfect sabatons for hunting mobs in the dimension. Harnessing and converting heat energy from the surrounding environment into cool air beneath their feet firebrats, like you, can walk on lava!

SIZZLING SABATONS

CRAFTING THE SIZZLING SABATONS

With both the Line and the Rod made, you can now combine the two parts to construct the Naiad Pole. You are now able to show off to all other Toebiters the ancient relic of a Pole.

After crafting the Rod, you can now work on making the Line for the Naiad Pole. This line is extremely tough, primarily due to the reinforcing properties of Beetle Glue.

Secondly, you will need to make the Rod of the Pole. To do this, simply orient SIX Naiad Strips around Beetle Glue and continue looking for more Shells.
